Original oil on canvas with frame size 26x32 inches “Deep in the frost, A hidden fragrance fills my sleeves.” When I paint this painting, I think of no specific place. I just think of a certain kind of glow that I can best express by putting down bright cadmium orange and yellow in large area, then a little blue-violet cold color contrasts the warm colors. These colors release my fall fantasy, because I associate them with the idea of radiance, or glow. Through colors, I am able to express this sensitivity accurately and forcefully. I painted four to five layers in different times to create the rich texture and color’s interaction.
