Splash Copper - Individual Jewelry Size

Oxidized "Splash" CopperNative copper is used to make these artistic free-form sculptures. No two are alike and the shapes are open to many different visual interpretations.Splash Copper Sculptures are made by pouring molten copper at 2200 degrees Fahrenheit into trays filled with water and straw. When the shapes are cooled, a green or turquoise colored chemical patina is applied, then high lights are buff polished to expose the glowing solid copper underneath. The sculptures are sprayed to preserve the finish and to prevent the copper from tarnishing.
