Jordan 7 Retro Doernbecher

The Air Jordan 7 Retro Doernbecher is the special edition of the Jordan 7 silhouette. It is a collaboration between Air Jordan and Doernbecher Children's Hospital. 10-year-old Damien Phillips designed this particular one. This shoe showcases the University Red leather base with black overlays around the midfoot and ankle and gold accents on select parts of the midsole. The outsole is in a translucent Icy Blue shade while the lateral ankle features the gold Jumpman and the heel reads Damien’s initials (DJP). What makes this shoe unique is the guitar inspired theme featuring a guitar-inspired heel pull, guitar pick lace stay and a cartoon illustration of the designer on the sole. It definitely gives the shoe a unique and wholesome story. The Air Jordan 7 Retro Doernbecher was released on December 17th, 2016.
