Traditional Kikuyu Basket

Traditional basket from Central Kenya. This one of a kind basket is part of an exclusive collection handwoven by women from the Kikuyu community of Central Kenya.  This basket celebrates traditional indigenous design by weaving together colorful strands of recycled plastic over a framework of sisal fiber. Features a leather strap.  Can be used functionally for carrying goods at the grocery story or farmer's market, or as decor that adds a touch of traditional African design to your home.
