Antique brass, figural pocket knife in the shape of a rabbit. From France, circa late 1800s. Finely incised brass with a steel blade. Place of Origin: France Period: Victorian, Late 1800s The blade measures 1 ⅜". When closed, the rabbit measures 2 ¼", not including the bale. At its widest, the rabbit is approximately ¾", not including the protruding blade when the knife is folded. Materials: Brass, Steel There is an attached bale at the top of the rabbit's head - making it easy to attach to a key ring or wear as a pendant on a necklace chain. Condition: Wear commensurate with age. Noticeable patina (more so on one side - see picture 3).
