16"x23.25" oil on canvas "Unseen man" is one of the first few paintings I did when I started painting in Germany. I wanted to explain the relationship between the generally laidback, peaceful individual and the aggressive and violent nature that accompanies being part of special warfare. This contrast is portrayed by death, either death of self identity or actual no shit death by continuing down that path, as both your violent nature and death stare you down. Although this is one of my brighter paintings color wise, to me it feels dark because of the depression and identity struggle it signifies.
