They are not recommended for fish ponds where water-borne debris such as fish waste and algae may clog the spillway. If you want to add an Acrylic NiteFalls Lighted Spillway to an existing Koi pond or water garden we strongly recommend you consider extra filtration like an external pressure filter. Please note the 1.25"FIPT inlet is on the bottom of the unit. You will need to have a gap for it in your installation.
