KA Custom One-Off Fixed Blade
Occasionally, Dave goes on a bit of a fixed blade kick. Most of the time that lasts about a week, and is more times than not an exercise in going back to where it all began and spending some time in the roots of his original designs and the genesis of his knife career. In that process, some older models are remade and other avenues are explored in the form of "one-offs". Knives that get made the way they want to be made. This medium sized fixed blade is an example of that exploration. Built using the traditional "bolt-up" style handle that has been used for many years in Kingdom designs, this fixed blade shares the handle with models like the Stavesacre and Blackthorns. The similarities end there as this blade walks the path of a tanto design. Not done very often, Dave's tantos always come out agreesive looking with multiple geometric lines and grinds. This one harkens back a bit to the look of the Masada folder, but carries a more asymetric shape as it flares in width toward the tip.
