Creative Tapestry Weaving Workshop in Hayward November 8

Weaving is an ancient art that is easy to learn yet has endless possibilities. Unleash your creativity while playing with color and texture! We will use a simple frame loom to make an artistic wall hanging while exploring plain weave as well as rya fringe, soumak, and clasped weft weaving techniques. All tools and materials are included in the registration fee. This workshop will take place at Aranea Craft Studio, 943 C Street in Hayward, CA. Prerequisites: No experience necessary. We recommend ages 12 and up for group classes, but this one can work for ages 8+ with a parent also enrolled. A Note on Pricing: There is a sliding scale for low-income makers, on the honor system.
