Plant pathogens can affect all plant tissues and wipe out entire operations. Many infections can go undetected in asymptomatic plants only to decimate crops in the later stages of growth, such as hop latent viroid (HLVd). The quickest and most sensitive method to test for pathogens is a genetic analysis known as polymerase chain reaction (PCR). This pathogen detection service screens samples with PCR for unique genetic markers of fungal, bacterial, and viral cannabis pathogens to providing clean plants and peace of mind. Currently, the lab provides accurate, high throughput pathogen testing on plant tissue for the agricultural and horticultural industries. To get optimum results, for HLVd, it is recommended that plants are tested three times for a minimum of two consecutive negative tests approximately three to four weeks apart. Clones one month old
