She grew up on a farm in the heart of the Midwest, where she spent her childhood picking bouquets of wildflowers and exploring the wide-open prairie under a big cloud filled sky. She finds endless inspiration in the beautiful complexity of the natural world, and the colors of the changing seasons. A former elementary school art teacher, Carrie now works full time as an illustrator, utilizing a variety of media, both traditional and digital. She works from her home studio in Columbia, Missouri. A portion of our profits go to Memories From Monroe, a nonprofit organization that creates memory boxes for families experiencing infant and pregnancy loss in Michigan.
