Transparent Opal Cicada Wing

These pendants are made with real BROOD XIX cicada wings, collected after their full natural life cycle in Kentucky. One signature characteristic of periodical (17 and 15 year) cicadas is that their wings are transparent, with red and brown veins running through them.  Each of these cicada wings is coated in ultra-durable clear resin, then electroformed in 100% copper with a flashy black welo opal.  The length of the pendant is just under two inches, and comes on a 24-inch antiqued copper chain.
