Sun and Moon Ring

Size 7, sterling silver, with a 24k gold foil applied using the keum boo technique. There’s a 1.83 ct pink spinel, 7.3mm x 6.05mm x 5.16mm and a 1.93 ct grey spinel, 7.38mm x 5.95mm x 5,49mm. The silver has been blackened with liver of sulfur. The ring measures 1.02”’ x .866” x .854”. The top of the ring is .3 above the finger. One of a kind. The spinels have very delicate colors, so what you’re mainly seeing in them is a reflection of the gold around them. That’s why I’m calling this a Sun and moon ring. The spinels are the moon reflecting the golden sun. The ring band was modeled in ZBrush, 3d printed in a castable resin, and cast in silver. I do all the finishing work.
