Introduction to Cables: Thursday, December 18 12:00-2:00pm

DESCRIPTION Learn how to knit cables! We’ll start a cabled hat as practice and you will learn everything you need to know– cabling with and without a cable needle, reading cable patterns (written and charted), as well as different cable designs and knitting traditions! Skill Level: Intermediate– must know the knit stitch, purl stitch, and how to knit in the round  Materials Required*: “Traveling Cable Hat” pattern by Purl Soho (free)  218 yards of worsted weight yarn US 6 (4mm) & US 8 (5mm) circular needles, 16" length cable needle *10% off materials purchased at Knit Dallas for the class. Homework: Complete the "Ribbing" section of the pattern.
