~ from Chihiro ~ RAMIE SILK is a light and precious yarn blend consisting of virgin wool, silk and ramie is a very special and fine yarn. Because of the ramie part it is tougher than other yarns. So it’s also suited for knitting socks, if you don’t like the polyamid in common sock yarn. Ramie is a natural fibre made out of a plant that is related to nettle but appears only in Southeast Asia. It’s one of the oldest fibre plants used by mankind and it lends a particularly shine to the fibre. RAMIE SILK NATURAL is the same yarn but dyed with dye from natural sources only! Material: 60% Virgin Wool (non superwash), 20% Mulberry Silk, 20% Ramie Weight: Fingering Meterage/Unit Weight: 425m/100g Needle Size: 2,5-3,5mm Care: Handwash in lukewarm water. Dry flat lying.
