Noro Rittou
Noro yarns embrace the Japanese philosophy of accepting & enjoying the non-uniformity, unevenness, & natural beauty of nature. All animal fibers spun into Noro yarns come from certified organic farms around the world. The yarns are as eco-friendly as possible with many processes still done by hand or on traditional machinery. Rittou is truly a work of yarn. Named for the Japanese term for “the first day of winter,” the worsted weight yarn blends warm wool with a touch of silk & mohair. Each colorway has been dyed on naturally brown wool to give the feeling of late autumn & early winter landscapes. Each ball contains 361 yards for continuous knitting & fewer ends to weave in. The yarn is dyed in the Japan studio using the special method that gives Noro yarns their special color-changing, gradient & variegated hues. It is beautiful knit into sweaters, cardigans, accessories & throws. Fiber Content: 70% Wool, 15” silk, 15% Mohair Weight: Medium/ Worsted Y
