wāhine T - lokelani

 Lokelani  When I first drew the Lokelani, I was creating the different island colors and lei material.  There have been many trials and errors but the Lokelani print is the best of the eight, so far.  Mai hopohopo, the other 7 lei are coming.  Although Lokelani is not a native, the beauty is intoxicating.  When we hear of Lokelani, it takes us back to about 100 years ago, around the time of when May Day was established. Can you imagine how picturesque ka pae ʻāina o Hawaiʻi was in the 1920ʻs?  We can see the beauty of all the islands, then and now.  Although many say, Maui nō ka ʻoi.
