Kobold Régulateur Handwound
Currently in development as part of the Kobold 25th anniversary celebrations, the Kobold Regulateur Handwound is the latest Kobold timepiece featuring the iconic 19-component watch case by Gerd-R. Lang, the late master watchmaker and Kobold founding father. The Kobold Regulateur features classic proportions and is powered by a modified Swiss-made caliber Unitas 6450, which can be viewed through the exhibition caseback. The timepiece's regulator-style dial displays hours at the 12 o'clock position, minutes from the center and seconds at the 6 o'clock position. This unique design was made popular in 1987 when Gerd-R. Lang unveiled his iconic Regulateur Handwound, the first serially produced wristwatch featuring this dial layout. The watch quickly sold out and became a highly sought-after collectible. Kobold is paying homage to its late founding father with this re-edition, using Gerd-R. Lang's original case drawings and tooling dies, as well as vintage movements acquired by Gerd R.-Lang.
