Slovakian M97 Woodland Field Parka

The history surrounding the development of vz 97 camouflage is one of surprising peacefulness. It all started with the breakup of Czechoslovakia at the end of 1992. Unlike the chaos that ensued when Yugoslavia broke up, Czechoslovakia dissolution was a mutual one… So mutual in fact that it was called a velvet divorce. Unfortunately this meant no more sharing the same camo pattern, the ERDL inspired vz 95. The Slovakians must have taken inspiration from their former country, however, because their vz 97 camouflage looks suspiciously like M81 woodland. Depending on the age, it is affectionately referred to as “bright” woodland.  This heavy duty Field Parka features a thick poly/cotton shell with an interior drawstring, a stowable hood and a zipper closure front with a buttonable storm flap. Additionally the interior has sections for a buttonable liner (not included). Velcro cuffs round out this cold weather contender. The Velcro ID panels help ensure that everyone you meet knows exactly
