Unissued SADF Nutria Bush Hat

This is another excellent (and we do mean excellent) SADF surplus item. We’ve seen a lot of military hats come through our warehouse, but nothing is quite like the “bush” hat. Snap either side of the brim up for aiming or casting, or snap both up for over-ear protection or comms use. This is the best “recce”-style cap we’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing for any period of time (and boy, have we enjoyed them). Whether you're fishing, hiking, or LARPing, this durable bush hat is up for anything. The cut of the bush hat is similar to the boonie we all know and love, but the brim is stiff, downward sloping, and slightly oval. This shape offers the unique benefit of thoroughly breaking up the silhouette of the wearer while noticeably increasing the level of sun protection afforded to the neck and face.
