This helps to distribute the weight of the Matte Box and clamp securely to the lens. Machined cutouts are used to reduce weight and provide the necessary flex for clamping.  A bearing groove around the outside of the adapter catches inside the 95mm Lens Clamp Back and acts as a safety catch for your KONDOR BLUE Matte Box. Each adapter is sold individually so you can pick exactly what you need for your lens kit.
