Screened in competition at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, renowned filmmaker Kore-eda Hirokazu's latest film Our Little Sister is based on the award-winning manga Umimachi Diary by Yoshida Akimi. The film depicts the lives of three sisters in the seaside city of Kamakura and the changes they undergo when they take in their 13-year-old half-sister after meeting her for the first time at their estranged father's funeral.
