Emerald and Jasper Scagliola Lamp

Scagliola comes from the Italian word scaglia, meaning "chips". The ancient technique using fine plaster was created as a substitute for marble. Artist Statement: I love the entire design process from the initial concept to mixing the plaster, sanding and polishing each object for hours. Each object is unique and original -  always slightly imperfect to show that it was all made by hand.
