General Info: Comes with one 6ft Serial Cable and Power Supply w/ Custom Locking Connector Standard RS-232 interface. Connects with a serial cable or a null modem cable; it converts either cable to the correct input. It provides Request to Send – Clear to Send signaling back to the serial port. OS independent; DOS, Windows, UNIX and Linux all work. All connectors lock in place. No software drivers. No dip-switches, No jumpers, and No programming needed. Secure Control Info: Secure Control will only open the cash drawer when a Specific character is sent to open the drawer, all other characters are ignored. Used a lot in theaters. Used in applications when you can configure the Point of Sale software. Operates only at the Baud rate of: 2400, N, 8, 1 Only requires one Character to open the drawer, unlike others that require 8 to 10 characters for a “good” signal.
