Arning Template (Shelby Drop) for 1964 - 1966 Mustang (with 17/32" Drill Bit)
This template known as the Arning Drop, Shelby Mod, or Shelby Drop is designed to work with the 1964 - 1966 Mustang and it relocates the mounting point for the Upper Control Arm to provide a better roll center, a small bump in negative camber, and a little more positive caster for these cars. This template is designed to be used on both the driver passenger side, with the arrow cut in the template pointing towards the front of the car when in use. Template moves Upper Control Arm down one inch, and back 1/8 inch, on each side of the car. Works on 1964, 1965, and 1966 Mustangs. May work on other Ford/Mercury models from 1960 - 1966, but do your research first. Simply unbolt the upper control arm, bolt the template in place where the existing upper control arm holes are located, and use the 3/32" drill guide holes to mark where the new 17/32" holes are to be drilled. Once the new holes are located and drilled, remove the template and finish drilling the holes with a 17/32" drill bit
