Evo X Billet Power Steering Reservior by MAPerformance With a focus on style and function, we set out to design a billet power steering reservoir that matched the style of our popular coolant combo tank for the Evo X. One of the main targets was to increase the capacity, as we have seen that help on both the streetcars and race cars in terms of the life of the fluid and keeping temps down. We have an increase of 57% over the factory unit with no modifications needed. From there we set out to add an internal screen filter, after testing many options we found that the stainless mesh filter held up to the needs of the system, and is easy to remove and clean if need be. Keeping the particulate out of the pump and the rack will increase the life of both components. We then integrated a flush mount sight glass, to help set the proper level in the system.
