Although his dream of taking ajournalism course at a university like the University of the Philippinesdid not come true, Villagracia insisted on cultivating his ability to tellhis own story with the help of two short courses in creative writing, by mail. His endeavor has indeed borne fruit; he has written over 2,000 stories andnovels.
