#X-62002, sterling silverHeight 4.5x4.5 cmSigned by the artist It is customary to wear tefillin every morning except for the Sabbath and holidays.Tefillin (phylacteries) are strips of parchment inscribed with a verse from Exodus 13and Deuteronomy 6 enclosed in a black, calf-skin case and fastened by thongs tothe forehead, arm, and hand.“You shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontletsbetween your eyes” (Deuteronomy 6:8).In his quest to facilitate the complete fulfillment of this commandment, the artisthas created a special mirror so that when the tefillin are placed between the eyes,one can ensure that their position is correct. The mirror is housed in a sterlingsilver frame with the words from Deuteronomy. A leather pouch protects thecreation.Each work is signed by the artist.
