Captain Cutler was the 2nd villain the Scooby-Doo Gang faced. Rising from the sea after he has taken out the entire gang.This is the 10th in a series of original Illustrations where I revisit and reimagine the villains of Scooby-Doo in order they appear.Some of the original designs are so iconic that I make little design changes but wanted to create another way to make them more than just a costume that was worn to scare some kids and a dog. This is done by adding to aggressive nature and making the characters more violent as they might appear in a modern version of the cartoonI am a classically trained painter, that has spent most of my life as a designer and illustrator. This included a number of unknown comic book projects, but I recently fell back in love with painting through doing digital paintings in a life drawing class.
