Cambria Pines

The towering pines in the hills of Cambria overlooking the Pacific Ocean were the inspiration for this evocative piece of art.  This piece was made from the inverted base of a heavy walled bottle gourd.  The cast base adds stability.  The trees were created through extensive cutting and textured with a Dremel using a variety of "bits".  Pyroghraphy, leather dyes and satin polyurethane complete the "picture".
