"Curl, Curl, Curl" Japanique JacketQuite a wild and wonderful design! A free flow of curling vines that defy a clear description. Light colored brush lines on top of the darker brown lines give the design a shadowy, dimensional look. Golden brown on top of a light creamy brown with a slightly crepe texture. Great display piece for Fall. Don't miss the secret pocket on the right side, see last photo above.Each Japanique Jacket starts out as a vintage michiyuki, which is a narrow jacket with snap closures meant to be worn on top of a kimono. Most vintage michiyuki won't fit larger frames, so we modified the traditional garment slightly (removed the snaps and tacked the panels back to create lapels) to make a roomier, open, flowing jacket that can fit sizes 12-18. Our Japanique Jacket could also be crossed over and belted on a smaller sized person. These are all one-of-a-kind jackets, so sizing will vary slightly, see measurements given.
