Turquoise Sterling Silver Pendant-22 ct

A unique characteristic of this 22 carat, robin-egg, blue turquoise is the presence of the black "matrix" in the stone. The stone is set on a sturdy, 22 gauge sterling silver back. It is surrounded by a "picket fence" type bezel. Triangle wire sweeps below the stone to frame round, sterling pegs which adds another unique element to this eye-catching pendant.  2.25 inches from the bale to the bottom of the pendant (60mm) 1.25 inches at it widest (30mm) The bale is 10mm wide and will slip on to most chains or chokers.  Fun Fact:  The matrix is formed by the thin veins of the host stone. These veins interweave throughout the stone, creating a unique pattern which contrasts with the blue. Similar to individual fingerprints, matrices vary from stone to stone, creating one-of-a-kind pieces that are visibly distinct from one another.
