The term Glacial is often used for organic compounds that form ice-like crystals at temperatures below freezing. Water-free (anhydrous) acetic acid is commonly known as Glacial Acetic Acid and it appears as a colorless solid with a bitter flavor at room temperature. It is hygroscopic (water absorber) in nature.
