Second Grade: Learning at Home

The manual contains daily lessons for Second Grade based on a four-day week for thirty-six weeks. The four-day plans allow for the fifth day each week to be used for field trips, preparation, or chores. The lessons include songs and hands-on activities covering Bible Concepts, Bible Memory, Language Arts, Arithmetic, Health, Manners, Responsibility, Character Building, Physical Education, Art, American History, World Geography, and six areas of God’s Creations in Science. The author recommends utilizing reading instruction from Phonics for Reading and Spelling in conjunction with the other curriculum outlined in this manual.
