Hosanna Hymnal

A student hymnal designed to help bring children/youth closer to God by using 115 classic hymns to foster praise, worship and a deep love for God.  Written by Barbara and David Leeman. As hymnals go, this one is a bit unusual and not like what you might see at church. It includes stories and pictures. And the story page for each hymn includes three distinct parts, TEXT, TUNE and AS YOU SING THIS HYMN.  The TEXT portion describes the author of the words. The TUNE portion is about the melody which often has a history completely separate from the text. Hymns declare what we believe about God, so it is very important when signing to think about what the words mean for your life. This is the AS YOU SING THIS HYMN portion.
