SKYE DRESS WITH EMBROIDERY

The Skye Dress is a textural dream, with all over embroidery inspired by historical English and Spanish blackwork from the late 15th century. It features shoulder yokes with gracious gathering and a sweet ruffle high neckline. The bodice bib is gathered using the treasured Indian technique of Bahikata. Additionally, the bib is detailed with mother-of-pearl buttons and secure loop closures. Each elastic wrist features a ruffle hem. Gathering under the bodice creates flounce and room to grow. A pocket on either side of the Skye Dress begs to be filled with sweet candy, falling leaves and bird feathers. A side slit on either side seam provides room for movement and growth.
