Alpine Accessibility The Alpine windows in the D2 are absolutely great for additional sunlight in the vehicle, but for some of us that is just something nice to look at. With the new Ski Lodge Alpine panels, you can leverage the cavernous space into your next perfect storage solution. Complete with MOLLE patterning and quarter inch slots, its perfectly extensible to hold things to it, and with its nice cutaway, allow you to easily tuck things in safely behind it. Installation is merely removing your existing third row handles and placing these panels in place of them, reusing the same hardware. If you do not have handles, the frame still has the threaded mounts. See this guide for gaining access to them. In addition to passenger/driver side mounting, you can opt for either 14 or 10 gauge steel for it to be constructed out of. 10 gauge steel is almost twice as thick as 14 gauge and will provide greater rigidity for mounting heavier objects/connecting two panels together etc. Choose 14 gauge if those considerations are not something you would use them for.Furthermore, Lambda Dynamics will also produce a basket in the future. The basket will be designed to complement the Alpine panels, not make them obsolete, so do not worry about having to pick one or the other!
