Thunderbird Graduating Pillow Top Navajo Pearl Necklace by Maryetta Daukei Native Made
Handmade Navajo pearls are a highly coveted Native treasure. Let me tell you about how special these one's are. Not only are they handmade, but they are 'old style' pillow top pearls that lay flat when worn. Marietta, her mother, and her daughter have been providing their art to Lantern Dancer since the early 90's (for 4 generations this has been their families contribution to keeping the iconic Pillow Top pearl alive). After Marietta's mother's death they took a pause from the art. Now we are grateful this mother daughter team has started creating again. Each piece is signed and one-of-a-kind! More: These are even flatter than a disc bead and lay quite differently. Some call them M n'M shaped and they do resemble the shape well.
