The Hobbit Countdown Calendar

Our end-of-year Countdown Calendar theme this year is The Hobbit! Each calendar includes 21 20g fingering weight mini skeins of our Merino/Nylon Sock base. All mini skeins will be individually packaged and numbered so they remain a mystery until the day you open them. The intention of this countdown calendar is to open one mini skein per day from December 1st - December 21st, but you are, of course, welcome to open them however you'd like. The colorways will be presented in order of the story- based on the BOOK. The colorways will not form a fade in this order, but they could be rearranged into a fade once all minis have been opened. All mini skein colorways will be variegated using my painterly/watercolor style (no semi-solids or tonals).  Take a look at my 'At the Cabin' collection for an idea of the style/techniques I'll be using for this set.   OPTIONS: --Countdown Calendar - Includes 21 individually wrapped and numbered fingering weight mini skeins. --Optional Add-on - Includes 21 individually wrapped and numbered fingering weight mini skeins AND one 100g fingering weight full size skein in a coordinating colorway.    YARN BASE: --Merino/Nylon Sock-- 4-ply, 75% Superwash Merino Wool / 25% Nylon Mini skein - 90 yds / 20 grams per mini skein Full skein - 460 yds / 100 grams (*Only included if you choose the optional add-on) Care- Hand wash in cool water, lay flat to dry.   SHIPPING: Hobbit Countdown Calendars will ship no later than November 14, 2025.   **Please order this calendar by itself.  Please do not add any other products to your cart when purchasing this calendar.  Thank you! ** About our dye process...We use professional acid dyes to create beautifully saturated colorways on soft, durable bases. As with all handmade products, slight variation will occur between and sometimes within dye lots. We strive to represent our colorways accurately in our listing photos, but please keep in mind that monitor and screen settings may display colors differently. -This set is not eligible for our ball winding service. -Every skein is hand washed once completed.  Yarn is dyed and stored in a smoke-free, dog-friendly studio.
