Transplanting is best done 1 to 2 weeks following your region's typical last frost date. Planting in your garden bed should be done 1-2 weeks after the last killing frost. WHERE SHOULD TOMATO SEEDS BE PLANTED? If you are planting directly in your garden, select a place with lots of sunshine and well-draining soil. TOMATO SEED PLANTATION Planting in a growth tray for an early start indoors: Fill each space with dirt, leaving a quarter-inch border at the top. Put 2-3 seeds in each container, then top with dirt. Planting directly in the garden: Plant in rows, 2-3 seeds per section, about 2' apart from the next section. Stakes can be added as needed to maintain plants
