Horizon marks Noble Oak’s debut for Last Gang Records and is an enchanting collection of post-chillwave pop, a sumptuous suite of sativa songs for hazy, lazy days prompting comparisons to the likes of The War on Drugs, Bob Moses, and Tame Impala. “My intent from day one was literally to make the most beautiful songs that I possibly can,” says Fiore. “And to hope that the world can understand that and see it.” This new material was written when the 27-year-old was witnessing “a lot of breaking points and emotional extremity,” in both his personal life and the world around him. As always, music provided a therapeutic method of exploring “the notion of whether it’s crazy to think I’m going crazy,” he says.
