Here's to your classic love!Ferdinand Spiegel (1879 - 1950) was a prominent painter and graphic artist based in Munich and later Berlin. Trained under Julius Diez in Munich, he initially worked as a decoration artist for exhibition halls and hotels until 1914. He also gained recognition as an illustrator for well-known German magazines such as Jugend and Simplicissimus. During World War I, he served, and after being wounded in 1916, he was invited to become a professor at the State Academy in Berlin.
