Delias hyparete

This yellow, white and red butterfly was transformed into my own take on a pattern from the Kharraqan Towers in Iran.  The pattern on the towers is actually much more complicated, but after watching this pattern emerge while drawing the foundational shapes, I thought I'd give it a try!   Glossy Photo Rag Paper, PVA Glue, Mat Board.   Framed: 16 x 16 x 1
