Antique French Carved Oak Louis XVI Tray Top Table

This antique French tray-top side table is crafted in oak and features a number of decorative details, including beautifully curved legs ending in paw feet, a sun medallion on the lower shelf and carved decorative accents on the apron. The top is actually a carved tray with beautiful shell and scrollwork carvings that sits perfectly on the top of the base, held in place by the upper carved portion of each leg. When the tray is removed, the flat top of the table has further carved decoration. The table is sturdy and stable.  Measures 24"W x 15.5"D x 29.5"H overall. The tray top is 24"W x 15"D. There is surface wear and discoloration present (primarily on the tray) along with some evidence of a previous repair to one edge of the tray (shown).
