Rustic 18th c French Oak Buffet with Carved Details & Iron Hardware

This antique French buffet is crafted in oak with three drawers and a lower cabinet with two doors. The front of the buffet has a number of carved details, including the shell at the center of the apron between the front legs. Between the doors is a rustic carving of pears and foliage with a hatched background. The doors have carved leaves at the corners and the drawer fronts have elongated diamond shapes which frame the iron hardware. The door hinges are also iron and have some decorative elements. The drawer pulls are brass and likely added at a later date. The right hand door locks with the included key while the left hand door is locked with an interior hook and loop closure. There is one shelf inside the main body, which is accessible from either door. This piece measures 58.5"W x 23"D x 42"H. There is some surface wear present to the piece, mostly on the top.
