Bio: Marco Ricasoli-Firidolfi is a 37th generation winemaker in Monti, a prized micro-region in the heart of Chianti. The family has cultivated vines here for centuries, long before there was a Tuscany, let alone an Italy. Of the 250 acre estate, the family's 50 acres of vines have all been converted to organic farming in 2006 with certification in 2010. This is a nod to Marco's ancestor Geremia Ricasoli, the founder of the family that lived during the 7th century.
