The phrasing "friend of Dorothy" arose out of protection to help our gay brethren determine who was friend or foe as they navigated the world and the many complexities or judgments that targeted their identity. The phrasing later adapted to include the greater Queer community. Just like navigating as a Queer in a hetero world, we wanted to give you the option to “ask” the question and make the statement loudly with the contrast of ivory or subtly with the monochromatic style of the pepper design. While there are many lore’s connected to its origin, you can click here to see where some of them came from while you choose which color and size you’d like. -- Material: 6.1 oz., 100% ring spun USA cotton Preshrunk, soft-washed, garment-dyed fabric Made with sustainably and fairly grown USA cotton and sewn with USA cotton thread Feature: Twill taped shoulder-to-shoulder Set-in sleeves Double-needle stitched sleeves and bottom hem 1" ribbed collar with double-needle topstitched neckline Com
