Catalina Shawl  Knitting Pattern by Lavender Hill Knits   Inspired by the beautiful Catalina Mountains in Tucson, Arizona, this shawl features a bold chevron border representing the proud mountain peaks below a lacy open stitch pattern representing the open sky above. Optional tassels give the shawl a Southwest feel.  The yarn colors I chose reflect the image I wanted to create:  a smoky blue for the body of the shawl as the sky above the mountains, a deep navy blue for the dark clouds that sometimes cover the peaks, a bright yellow for the rays of sun that shine so brightly through the clouds, and a cactus green for the mountains covered with Saguaro cactus.  Make this shawl completely your own by choosing colors and varying the stripes in the border to create the image you see in your own mind! **PDF Pattern** You're purchase includes pattern support!  I'll be happy to answer your questions as you knit along.
