Espalier Bags knitting pattern from the Summer in France collection by Lavender Hill Knits “Espalier” is a French term referring to the method of training a tree or plant to grow flat against a wall or trellis.  The beautiful stitch pattern used for these two bags is reminiscent of the “Belgian Fence” pattern used in espalier and is highlighted by a pretty spray of long stitches that give a floral or leaf effect.  They are wonderful Spring/Summer bags, or try making it in wool for a pretty winter bag.  So easy you'll want to make several in different colors! Your purchase includes pattern support - just send me an email or convo and I'll be happy to answer your questions or help you if you get stuck. Pattern directions include lots of color pictures, very detailed knitting instructions, definitions of stitches used and complete instructions for making a fabric strap(s) and lining the bag.  Pattern is only available in English.  I do not provide translation to other languages.
