Engineer Goby

The Engineer Goby is also known as the Convict Goby or Pacific Neon Goby. They are small gobies that change their colors throughout their life. Their markings will range from dark blue to black on a white body. As Juveniles they will have horizontal markings and the Adults will have vertical rings running along the entire body. They are small fish around 2-3 inches and burrow like many of the other Gobies so make sure you have plenty of sand and reef for them to hide and swim around in. Keep them in a 10-gallon tank or larger with plenty of hiding places and a sandy bottom. They are reef compatible, peaceful fish and can be kept as a pair or in a group as long as they are added to the tank at the same time. They should be fed at least two times a day and their diet should consist of frozen or fresh seafood and shrimp.
